The government’s 15 hours funded childcare is designed to give all 3 and 4-year-olds access to a nursery place during term time in the years prior to them starting school. All 3 or 4-year-olds in England.
What funding do I get?
You’ll be entitled to up to 15 hours of funded childcare a week (570 hours per year).
What is Flexible Funding or the Stretch option?
The 15 hours funding per week relates to 570 hours over 38 weeks of term time. At Muddy Puddles we offer these 570 hours stretched over the full year (10.96 hours per week for 52 week). This acts as a discount to the standard fees and is conditional on a minimum number of days being booked.
Is the funding available in term time?
At Muddy Puddles we have completely funded places available between 1pm and 4pm every day during term time. These places don’t incur any fees or include any enhanced provision such as food. Afternoon snacks can be purchased.
When can my funding Start?
From the full term after you child turns 3. If your child turns 3 in July you will get the funding from September.
What’s the difference between the 30 hour scheme and this one?
The 15 hours scheme is universal so every one can benefit. The 30 hour scheme is just for working families and it increases the funding from 15 hours to 30 hours. Please click here to find out more information about our 30 hour scheme.
